Hidden Carers campaign

Hidden Carers campaign

How can we get people to recognise that the support they’re giving to a loved one, with a mental health problem, makes them a carer and then take steps to get help
The majority of carers take years to recognise their caring role. Many see themselves as a family member or friend – the word carer means little to them. This often means carers are missing vital support.
Our Hidden Carers campaign aims to raise awareness of the importance of carers who support our service users, help them recognise their role and the assistance we can provide.
The campaign will focus on three real Greater Manchester carers to tell their story and highlight the intimate moments they share with the person they look after.
